Today is my lucky day: On Patheos today, I have a brief article published as part of a Mormon Feminism symposium, and I am in the company of some amazing scholars, dear friends, trusted role models and revered trail blazers. It is an honor. Probably even more of an honor for me than being included in the Future of Mormonism series Patheos published a few months ago because I do revere so many of these women personally.
It's also quite daunting so have my thoughts on the same page as Claudia Bushman's or Melissa Proctor's. While my scholarship on theological and social issues has not been harvested by any graduate work, I hope I still bring a valuable "real people" sort of perspective to these conversations. Hopefully, I'll continue to be able to hold my own and I will always be grateful to be in the company of others who are thinking so clearly and respectfully about issues I hold dear.
